SERBIA
ABOUT US
Da se zna! works to create a more efficient system of protection against homophobic and transphobic unlawful conduct, as well as the reaction of the competent authorities, in accordance with the international standards. With this aim, we have established a monitoring system for incidents of hate crimes and discrimination against the LGBT+ persons, and have been running it for the past 5 years. We are also dedicated to strengthening the queer community through legal and psychological support, as well as with advocacy activities and the development of a structured advocacy program with the continuous cooperation with competent institutions.
OUR CONTENT/PROJECT/ETC WE THINK IS RELEVANT FOR THE NETWORK
For the last two years we have been extensively working towards creating a more safe and secure space for our community, especially online, as well as to raise awareness of the LGBT+ persons about their digital rights and safety of their data. Moreover, because of the sensitivity of data we collect, we are continuously making efforts to improve our internal regulations, so they are in accordance with the international standards. Furthermore, as a part of the consortium of organizations on the EU project “Reclaiming Privacy: A Tool to Fight Oppression” we have developed tools for awareness raising about personal data protection, including the Guide and the accompanying promotional video.
WHAT IS OUR SUPERPOWER?
Our superpower lies within our community which believes in us, trust us, supports us, and directs our work, reflected in more than 20 000 social media followers, and close to 200 interactions with our services in the last year alone.
